Brewers 13-12 and draft

Well the brewers have started to heat it up after having a very slow start at 4-9, the brewers have managed to string together a few W's and our now a game above 500. at 13-12, parra is still sucking and so is jeff suppan, they are both holding our rotation back and are dragging us behind, in my opninion we should give chris capuano a shot, just give him a go and see how he does. Also the draft was a week ago, and the packers drafted B.J raji out of BC. Well i would have preferd orakpo but raji is still a good fit in the team, and a good move aswell to trade up picks to get the line backer mathews. All of a sudden, with the switch to 3-4, our defence is now starting to come together, and things certainly are looking up for the packers, and the brewers :)

New blog, offseason sucks :(

Well my east favourite 2 months of the year, february and march, y'know why...NO SPORTS! apart from my english sports soccer and cricket. But still, my favourite sports are baseball and NFL, and not having anything any of them to watch, is gonna suck. So onto the offseason, Like my good freind kyle moore said, I am just excited about the possibility of having julious peppers playing along side with aaron kampman, it sure would sort out that crappy run stopping problem, But the only problem with this possibility is....ted tompson. He is quite reluctent to sign any free-agents, in his 4 years at the helm, he has sign 1 big free agent, charles woodoson. Good signing, but i really do think that even he might realise that our defence (apart from the croner backs) really does suck, the D-line sucks, and don't even get me started on the linebacking core. The offence is fine, it's just the D that needs sorting out.

Now onto the brewers, another team that i am just begging at to sign a big free-agent. The offence is fine, the bullpen may be ok with the latest additions, especially trevor hoffman. But the starting pitching staff is craaaaaaaaap! We have lost sheets, and sabathia and now our rotation looks like this.

1:Yovani Gallardo- good pitcher, bit too young and in-experienced to have as an ace, and coming off surgery
2:Dave Bush- A pretty servicable pitcher, good control, usually finishes something like 12-10 (2 games above 500.)
3:Jeff Suppan- Has the potential to be pretty good, but is a spotty and inconsistent pitcher who has AVERAGE written all over him. In his first 2 (of 4) years with he brewers he has gone pretty much 12-12 each year, with about a 4.5 ERA, He really has gotta step up abit this year, especilally considering the amount we are paying him
4:Manny Parra- A talented young pitcher who is coming off a good rookie year.
5: Seth McClung or Chris Capuano- Well mcClung did start for us a fw times last yea and was, like everybody else, AVERAGE (or a little bit better) and Capuano, who you may not belive won 18 games a few years back! He has been seriously bitten by the injury bug, and willmost likleley be coming out of the pen if anything this year.

So to sum up our rotation... AVERAGE, and you can't afford to have an average rotation when ur trying to compete in a pennant race. I do not think we will make the playoffs this year, but it is still possible, it will be an uphil battle. I will be content if the brewer just went 500. this year.
